Ceasefire violation by Pakistan continues on LOC, one soldier martyred

Pakistan had resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Krishna Ghati sector on 20 January. During the exchange of fire, Naik Jagadish sustained grievous splinter injuries. He was immediately evacuated and provided intensive medical care in Military Hospital .However despite all efforts the gallant soldier succumbed to his injuries in the early hours today.Naik Jagadish aged 34 years, belonged to Village. Gandashu, Post Office Thirpak, PS Nandprayag, District Chamoli and is survived by his wife Smt Usha devi and two young children.
