DDC Budgam reviews post snowfall measures

The District Development Commissioner Budgam today reviewed post snowfall measures at a joint meeting of the officers of district administration and engineers of various line departments.

 DDC stressed on better coordination between the R&B, Mechanical, PMGSY departments for snow clearance operations so that a smooth and hassle free mechanism is put in place for this purpose.

          He directed for setting up of a centralized Control room to coordinate snow clearance and road opening activities in case of exigencies. He asked for keeping maximum number of snow clearance machines in a state of readiness at important sites.

          While viewing the winter stocking of food grains in the district, the DC was  informed that 36000 qts of rice, 2980 qts of Atta and 3500 gas cylinders are available for distribution among the consumers besides a stock of 2.10 lakh QTS of ration is available in the FCI godowns.

           The District Development Commissioner asked CMO Budgam to ensure punctuality of medical and paramedical staff in heath centers. He asked the engineers of PDD to ensure there are no unscheduled power curtailments and power transmission lines do not get disrupted due to snow.
