Holy Amarnath Yatra concludes-3.52 lakh devotees pay obeisance-Rakhsha Bandhan celebrated

The shiv temples were a buzz with the religious activities since early this morning across the state in connection with Shravan Purnimashi that marks the culmination of Annual Amaranth pilgrimage. Scores of devotees who accompanied the Holy mace (Chari Mubarak) paid obeisance at Amarnath cave . Hundreds of devotees paid obeisance at Shiv temple situated at Shankaracahrya hill in Srinagar. Special prayers were held at Thajiwara Shiv Temple commonly known as Chota Amarnath in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.. The devotees had gathered from various parts of the country. The local prabhandakh commiitee has made all the arrangements for the devotees who had come Jammu and other places” We had put all the arrangements in place for the migrant devotees as per the past practice”  Said Samir Tickoo , a member of the prabhandhak committee. The devotees were quite enthusiastic to pay obeisance at the temple. A 22 year old boy Dinesh Koul said that he feels very happy to be at this place, “I Had never been to this temple before as our family had migrated to jammu in early nineties. Today the happiest day of my life as I have been able to come to the sacred place” Similar Gathering was held at Shiv temple Imoo Verinag in south Kashmir. Hundreds of devotees participated in special “Hawan” on the occasion of Shravan Purnimashi. Since the day day is also clebrated as “Rakhshabandan” , sisters were seen tying Rakhis on the wrists of their brothers.
