Jammu and Kashmir Police today observed National Police Day

Jammu and Kashmir Police today observed National Police Day popularly known as Police Commemoration Day.
The main function was held at Gulshan Ground, where Deputy Chief Minister took salute at the Commemoration Day Parade in presence of Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch. Lal Singh, MLA R.S. Pura, Dr. Gagan Bhagat and a host of senior police officers including IGP Jammu, Danish Rana, DIG Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, SP (HQ), Randhir Singh among others.
Floral tributes were also paid to police martyrs by the Dy CM, Ministers, senior police functionaries, senior citizens, retired police personnel and family members of martyr police personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister recalled supreme sacrifices made by security forces for unity and integrity of the nation. He said that J&K Police history is of gallantry, sacrifice and innumerable achievements. He said that efforts and dedication of security forces needs highest appreciation.
A blood donation camp was also held after the Commemoration Day Parade, where senior officers and other volunteers donated blood.
