Speculations have been going on in the media about change of political equations in Jammu and Kashmir after the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. It seems media is playing stories to get TRP’s and it is least bothered about human sensitives. When Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away, obviously leaders from different political parties will meet Mehbooba Mufti to convey their condolences.Media has been speculating that PDP will break ties with BJP and go with Congress.Another speculation was that BJP has put new conditions before Mehbooba Mufti.Those media houses who are running these stories are lacking minimum common sense.Is this possible for the leader of any political party to talk to Mehbooba Mufti in these terms when she has lost her beloved father and is under tremendous shock and trauma? J&K state remained headless as Mehbooba was not mentally prepared to take oath because of sad demise of her father.How can she discuss political equations with the leaders who meet her to convey condolences.Also, how can any political leader muster courage to discuss all this with Mehbooba when she is grieving death of her father? Media is blowing up stories out of proportion just to gain TRP’s. Because of all such misadventures, media is losing credibility and people are getting disgruntled.The fact of the matter is that if Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has done political tie up with BJP for six years, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti will respect that and will not change her fathers decision at the stage when he has left for heavenly abode.
