Light tremors were felt in Kashmir valley at about 3.40 pm. the intensity of the earthquake was recorded 6.2 on ritcher scale and its epicenter was Hindukush Afghanistan. The earth shook for a couple of seconds across valley including capital city of Srinagar. No loss of life or property was reported .
