Minister for Public Works and Culture, Naeem Akhtar, today visited the Srinagar residence of Late MrsShamma Mir, daughter of ex-Prime Minister of J&K, Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad. MrsShamma Mir passed away here last evening.
Akhtar expressed personal condolences with the family of MrsShamma Mir, wife of Mir Nasrullah, ex-chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, whose last rites were held today in Srinagar. He prayed for strength to the family in this time of huge loss and grief.
Recalling the contribution of Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad towards the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Akhtar also prayed for peace of the departed soul. “May Allah (swt) grant her highest place in Jannah,” Akhtar said. The minister was also accompanied by senior officers of the state government.
