120 youth from J&K join Indian Army

As many as 120 youth from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir joined army as soldiers after completing 42 weeks training course. The recruits showcased their passing out at Bana Singh Parade Ground of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Jammu and formally joined army.“The recruits completed their 42-week training course and their passing out parade, depicting graduation of a recruit and his transformation into a young soldier, was reviewed by a decorated veteran Col (Dr) Virendra Kumar, Vir Chakra and was attended by over 1000 parents and relatives of the young soldiers from all over J&K along with a number of civil and military dignitaries,” said a defence spokesman.
