Army has foiled an infiltration attempt in Keran sector of Kupwara district of Kashmir valley. Two infiltrators have been killed in the gunfight Army sources said that infiltrators were spotted at Jumgund Nar , an area between AIOS fencing and LOC during the preceding night . The infiltrators were challenged who resorted to firing on Army jawans . The army soldiers retaliated and two militants were killed in the ensuing gunfight. The operation was on till the last reports came in. Meanwhile the search operation continues in Tangdhar sector too to flush out the militants who are believed to be hiding in the forest. Notably One army soldier was killed and other two were injured in a militant attack in the sector. Army spokesman while giving the details said that search operation is taking long because the area has a dense forest cover.
