In connection with 34th death anniversary of noted Naat Recitor, Late Mohammad Abdullah Tibat Baqal, a function organized jointly by Tibat Baqal Memorial Trust Srinagar and Department of Information in collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Radio Kashmir, J&K Cultural Academy, Science and Culture, Srinagar Times, Asian Mail and Doordarshan News was held today at Soura.
The function was presided over by Dr. Ghulam Qadir Alaqband while as Prof. Syed Mohammad Tayib Kamli, Farooq Ahmad Nazki, Syed Himayun Qaiser, Sahil Yousuf Sofi, Rashid Rahi, Mohammad Ashraf Tak, M.A. Tantray, Aqaz Rasool Nazki, Brij Nath Betab, Zarief Ahmad Zarief, G.N. Khayal, Abdul Ahad Farhad, Abul Hassan Farooqi attended the function as guests of honour.
On the occasion, Ayaz Rasool Nazki, Syed Himayun Qaiser, Dr. Aziz Hajini, Munir Ahmad Mir and Imtiyaz Malik were honoured by Tibat Baqal Award.
The speakers highlighted the contribution of Mohammad Abdullah Tibat Baqal in the field and threw light upon his life.
Chairman, Tibat Baqal Trust, Mohammad Muzamil Basu urged for organizing such events in future.
