Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today approved appointment of 96 candidates, whose selection has been made in accordance with the J&K Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2008.The appointment of these 96 officers has been recommended by the J&K Public Service Commission after nine months as the Commission was unable to function in the absence of Chairman and Members.The State Government recently filled up all vacancies in the J&K Public Commission, including that of the Chairman, to speed up the process of recruitment in the Gazetted cadre.
In terms of the approval to the appointment of these 96 officers, 59 have been allotted Junior KAS, 19 J&K Police (Gazetted) Service and 18 J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service respectively.After issuance of the appointment orders, the officers who have been allotted Junior KAS will undergo training in J&K IMPARD at Srinagar and Jammu. Those candidates allotted J&K Police (Gazetted) Service and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service will report to Director General of Police and Director General, Accounts & Treasuries, for undergoing the prescribed training.
