Directing the concerned officers to take necessary steps for expediting the process of Digitization of Cable Television Network in their respective areas, District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar stressed that the process should be completed within the fixed time period.
He was speaking at a meeting convened to review progress made under National Population Register (NPR), ADHAAR and Digitization of Cable TV.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Atul Gupta, SDM Basohli, Gurmukh Singh, SDM Billawar, R.S Charak, SDM Bani, Ramesh Basotra, SDM Hiranagar, Sohan Lal, Tehsildar HQ, Tehsildars of all Tehsils, Naib Tehsildars, Executive Officers of Municipality besides officials of revenue department were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC reviewed progress of updating National Population Register and ADHAAR in the district. He asked the Sub District Registrars of Citizens Registration (Tehsildars/ CEO/EO’s of MC) to initiate special drives in rural and far flung areas of the district to ensure 100 percent enrolment by 31st December.
The DDC also reviewed functioning of the revenue department during which various issues including eviction cases, land acquisition cases, encroachments, Relief Cases, Mutations and other related matters were discussed in detail. Issues related to Stamp Duty and functioning of new administrative units were also discussed in the meeting
