Department of Health today organized an anti-tobacco rally from SKICC to Nehru Park, which was attended by officials, large number of students, and members of the society.
The rally was led by Deputy Director Health Service. In the rally the participants held placards and banners with anti smoking messages on them. The rally ended at government school Nehru Park.
On the occasion, various speakers spelled out harmful effects of smoking and tobacco use on health and environment.
Appreciating the authorities for organizing such an event, the participants asked for organizing more such rallies so as to help increase level of awareness among the masses about harmful effects of tobacco use.
