B R Sharma has been appointed as new Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir . The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of chief minister , Mufti Mohd sayeed today . the post had fallen vacant after the former chief secretary Mohammed Iqbal Khanday opted for voluntary retirement last month .
