To assess the physical and financial performance of District Development Board decisions, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar convened a meeting of officers in Doda today.
Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the quality of works undertaken by Rural development Department especially in Marmat and Khellani Block of District Doda. To further improve the working of the department, ADDC Doda was asked to conduct physical verification of various houses constructed under IAY. He also directed ACD Doda to prioritize the works to be taken up under BRGF in such a way that the works nearing completion should be taken up first followed by other works. He also asked ACD Doda to convene a meeting of all the stake holders to discuss Village Development Plan for two model villages viz. Hambal and Bharti.
Meanwhile, District Soil Conservation officer was impressed upon to indentify the slide prone areas in the district and start plantation drive on these vulnerable areas during this year. ADDC was asked to verify the survival rate at the patches where plantation drives have been launched.
He also enjoined upon the District Sheep Husbandry Officer to conduct physical verification of the Rams given on permanent basis to the breeders in the district. He also directed the Sheep Husbandry officer to work out a detailed plan for how we can turn the District from Mutton deficit into mutton surplus area.
AD Fisheries was directed to study the possibilities of creating marketing facilities for the fisheries products at the existing Fish farm at Ghata and Bheja Bhaderwah where land is available with the department.
“Ensure proper supervision on the quality of works under taken by various departments in construction of toilets, landscaping and renovation” Mr Kumar directed Warden Gujjar and Bakarwals Hostel Doda.
To prevent pilferage in electricity and to reduce transmission and distribution losses, the Power Development Department was asked to conduct frequent checks and impose fine on the defaulters.
Progress of Work on the construction of High Schools buildings and Higher Secondary School buildings under SSA and buildings under RMSA was also reviewed and executing agencies were impressed upon to expedite work.
Besides the performance made under Health, PHE,R&B, District Youth Services and Sports, Sericulture and other line departments were also reviewed in the meeting and instructions were issued to all the District officers to ensure cent percent plan performance during the current financial year.
Threadbare review over the action taken on the instructions passed by DC during his tours at Bhagwah, Gandoh kashtigarh, Dessa, Chatra, Jangalwar and Marmat was also held and all the concerned officers were asked to ensure compliance of all the directions in letter and spirit.
