Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon on Sunday inaugurated a cricket tournament here at sports stadium Pulwama. The tournament is being organized by Valley Super League (VSL).
District Development Commissioner Pulwama Mr. Neeraj Kumar and S S P Pulwama were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Divisional Commissioner said extra-curricular activities are imperative for the overall development of the students. He urged the players to work hard for achieving better performance in sports activities, as these events provides much needed platform for exhibiting their talent.
District Development Commissioner Pulwama, said that the district has no dearth of talent, but needs to be explored in a bigger way.
International Cricket player from Kashmir Mr. Parvaiz Rasool was guest of honour on the occasion.
Youth Services and Sports Officer, media persons besides huge gathering of locals were also present on the occasion.
