Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal visited Reasi and attended a Sarv Dharam Sammelan programme organized by J&K Christian Society at Sanyog ghar, Reasi here today.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion said that such programmes spread the message of unity and harmony among all the religions and should be organized frequently.
He exhorted upon the officers to act as a bridge between the government and the public and issued on spot instructions to the concerned officers to redress the genuine grievances of the people on priority.
Earlier, S Peter, Chairman of the society presented memorandum of demands to the Divisional Commissioner and informed that this year, Christmas will be celebrated with ‘Communal Harmony’ as the theme.
DDC Reasi Sushma Chauhan, Director Local bodies Soujanya Sharma, Director Social Welfare V J Hangloo, besides others were also present on the occasion.
