To consider the release of compensation and ex-gratia relief cases of militancy affected victims, a District Level Screening cum Co-ordination Committee (DLSC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah.
The Committee considered 11 cases, out of which 08 cases were approved for relief and compensation. Besides ex-gratia to the next kin of the deceased, compensation was also sanctioned in case of damaged residential houses and cattle.
It was decided to re-verify 03 cases from the field agencies after which they shall be considered for compensation/ ex gratia.
The relief and ex gratia amount will be given to the next of the kin of the victims in coming days.
