In continuation to the celebration of ‘’27th Road Safety Week 2016’’ from January 10 to 16, 2016 with the theme “Time for Action” free medical camp was organized at Ramban by Motor vehicles Department in collaboration with Rashtrya Rifle Delta Force, Traffic Police and Health Department at Ramban today.
District Development Commissioner Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar inaugurated the free medical camp which was attended by ARTO, Shami Kumar,Dy. SP Traffic Kameshwar Puri, Doctors, Army officers, para-medical staff and driver community also.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC stressed upon all the attendees particularly driver community to undergo regular medical checkups to ensure the fitness of their body and mind for safe transportation of the passengers. He also appealed the drivers to drive carefully as per traffic norms so that traffic jamming and incidence of accidents may not occur.
ARTO also asked the drivers and conductors refrain from using alcohol and other intoxicants while driving.
