The Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga today laid the foundation stone of Municipal Shopping Complex at Bari Brahmana.
The shopping complex will be constructed by Municipal Committee under the Self Finance Scheme, the land for the project is provided by the committee and cost of the construction of shops will be borne by the persons interested in setting up their business. Municipal Committee will charge rent from the shopkeepers which would be used for the development purpose.
The complex will have 7 shops at ground floor in first phase and 12 shops in second phase.
After laying the foundation stone of the shopping complex, the Minister said that the committee has taken a positive step to provide opportunities to those who do not have land to establish their business. He also asked the officials of Municipal Committee to initiate such projects so that he people of the area would be benefitted.
Executive officer MC Bari Brahmana Shiv Dev Singh, other concerned officials besides local residents of the area were also present on the occasion.
