Ganga Says service to humanity a noble cause

Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga Annual Day function of a school at Bassi Kalan in Bari Brahmana.

Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga has said that the overall personality development of  students is necessary for making them capable to face future challenges.

The Minister said this during the Annual Day function of a school  at Bassi Kalan in Bari Brahmana.

Former Minister, Gulchain Singh Charak, SSP Samba, Joginder Singh, prominent citizens, parents and students were present on the occasion.

Equating sports and extra-circular activities as a means of transformation of students, Mr. Ganga said by these activities, the overall personality development of these young minds takes place, which also infuses into them a concept of perseverance and discipline. He said since these young minds are instrumental in shaping our tomorrow, proper care should be taken for their mental and physical development.

The Minister also distributed prizes among the best performers of the school in academics as well as in extracurricular activities.

Various cultural programmes were showcased by the students on the occasion.

Earlier the Minister distributed blankets among poor at a function organized by an NGO at Dholian in Bari Brahmna.

Mr. Ganga said that the service to humanity is a noble cause and also appreciated the efforts of the NGO for providing blankets for needy.

Responding to the demands of the locals, Mr. Ganga said that a park would be developed in the area. He also assured the people for the upgradation of Government School Bari Brahmana so that modern facilities including smart classes, computer labs etc. would be provided to the students.
