Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan held

Budgam District

As part of Gram Uday se Bharat Uday campaign, many Gram Sabhas were held in Budgam and Kupwara districts today.

          In this connection, Director Rural Development Kashmir Tasaduq Jeelani presided over several social functions in Budgam.

At panchayat Ghar (office) Razwan, while addressing a gathering, Jeelani said country won’t progress unless its villages don’t prosper. He stressed for coordination among various government departments so that the developmental projects and welfare schemes are fully implemented to the benefit of people.

The Director called upon panchayat bodies in the district to formulate district development plan for the current year.

ADC Budgam informed the director about last financial year’s activities and developmental works in the district.

          Similarly in Kupwara the Rural Development Department in collaboration with Panchayat Raj organized a function at Town Hall Kupwara today.

The District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Kupwara, who was the chief guest on the occasion, highlighted the need for strict implementation of various government schemes.

On the occasion, speakers made the participants aware about various welfare and developmental schemes in the district.
