Holy month of Ramzan, will commence from Sunday across the country. Elaborate arrangements have been made in Jammu and Kashmir for this holy month.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti reviewed the arrangements put in place by the administration for the holy month of ramzan at a high level meeting.
The Chief Minister took a detailed review regarding status and availability of power, drinking water, essential supplies, sanitation and other arrangements made by the concerned Departments for the coming month.
Mehbooba Mufti directed that uninterrupted supply of drinking water, power, essential commodities like sugar, meat, milk etc. be made available to consumers without any difficulty.
Ramzan also called as Ramadan is considered the holiest month of the entire year by Muslims. It lasts for 29 to 30 days depending on the sighting of the crescent moon.Ramazan is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam.
