If BJP makes an offer, can think on Govt formation: Farooq Abdullah

Asserting that stalemate on Government formation should come to an end, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today bowled a political googly, by saying that if offered by the BJP, National Conference can think over Government formation with them in alliance.

”It was Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who took an initiative and formed Government with the BJP and now, it is up to them to think whether to continue and how to continue,” Dr Abdullah told mediapersons during his visit to Katra town of Reasi district, where he had gone to condole the demise of senior NC leader Pandit Des Raj.

The former Union Minister said, ”PDP must clear its stand on Government formation so that the stalemate ends in the interest and welfare of the state. But, if BJP offers NC to have alliance to form Government, our working committee can think on it.”

The stalwart asserted, ”our doors are always open and we can give due consideration.
