National Flag was unfurled by Hilal Ahmad Rather, Superintendent of Central Jail, Srinagar in the jail premises to mark 70th Independence Day.
Deputy Superintendent (S), Assistant Superintendents and all Prison staff of Central Jail, Srinagar alongwith CRPF personnel posted in Central Jail, Srinagar were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent Central Jail highlighted the importance of Independence Day “which has been achieved by way of valuable, limitless and unforgettable sacrifices.”
Sweets were distributed on the occasion among the prisoners and other participants and cultural programme was also organized.
