India is celebrating its 67th Republic Day today. President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande, who is the chief guest, witnessed the Republic Day parade at Rajpath alongwith thousands of people.
For the first time, a foreign army contingent – 35th Infantry Regiment of 7th Armoured Brigade of the French Army marched down the Rajpath during the Republic Day parade.
Republic day is being celeberated in Jammu and Kashmir also with enthusiasm and patriotic ferver.
