In Kashmir valley , Janamashtami (Zaram Satam ) is celebrated with religious fervour and gaitey . shoba yatras were organised at various places in which scires of devotees participated . one such shoba yatras was organised at Srinagar. The shoba yatra started from kharyar habbakadal Srinagar . the yatra passed through various parts of the city and culminated at the same place. The shoba yatra was held undertge aegis of kashmiri pandit sangharsh samiti. Chairman of the group sanjay tickoo said that the shoba yatras are being organised regularly after 2004 as the same was stopped due to militancy in 1990. ” we are very happy that we are celebrating the Birthday of Sri Krishna . we feel good about it and the Muslim community has been felicitating us today which has added to our joy” tickoo said. Shoba yatras were organised at other places in valley including Anantnag, Budgam and Baramulla districts.
