Jammu and Kashmir High Court today summoned Station House Officer to appear in person along with Case Diary (CD) file in connection with Akhnoor Sex Scandal. Hearing a petition filed by father of the victim seeking transfer of Case to CBI or Crime Branch Jammu, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court after hearing Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat appearing for the petitioner, issued notice to DGP & Others which were accepted by AAG WS Nargal. The High Court also directed AAG to produce the SHO Akhnoor along with Case Dairy(CD) on December 30, 2015 and also directed him to file reply.When the petition came-up for hearing, Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat appearing for the petitioners, submitted that police is investigating the case of rape of minor girl aged 15 years in a very causal manner and they have also beaten the victim. She further stated that the victim was kept in illegal detention for almost 10 days.Advocate Deepika further submitted that the victim was raped by more than 50 persons in Akhnoor and police was adopting delaying tactics to arrest the accused. She further submitted that it is surprising that the victim was medically examined five days after her statement was recorded.
