A male unidentified body was recovered in Sumbal area of Bandipora district today.
Some locals informed the police that a male body is lying near river Banyari. On this information, a police party of Police Station Sumbal immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The deceased is about 45 years of age.
Sumbal police registered case FIR number 43/2016 under section 302 RPC to ascertain the identity and cause of his death. The body of the deceased is lying in mortuary Panth Chowk for identification.
