Anantnag police today arrested a man who was caught in a compromising position with a girl. Police Post Sherbagh, Anantnag received information that a person Fawad Ashiq Bhat son of Ashiq Hussain Bhat resident of Lal Chowk Anantnag has been caught red handed in compromising position with a girl (name withheld) and beaten by the locals of Sarnal.
Police party of Police Post Sherbagh rushed to the spot and the accused was taken into the custody. A case FIR number 94/2016 under section 294 RPC was lodged against the accused and investigation was taken up.
