Member Legislative Assembly Haveli, Shah Mohammad Tantray today conducted an extensive tour of different wards of the Poonch town to review the developmental works and facilities being provided to the people by the Poonch Municipal Council.
Chief Executive Officer, Poonch Municipal Council, Irshad Ahmed Sofi, AEE PDD, Sarfraz Ahmed, AEE PHE, Salim Banday besides AEs and JEs of Poonch Municipal Council accompanied the MLA.
During his extensive tour of different wards of Poonch town, the MLA interacted with the locals and took stock of their problems .He directed the officers to immediately prepare estimates for repair of lanes and drains in the town.
Mr. Tantray emphasized for necessary steps for removal of illegal encroachments that choke the rain water and cause loss to the public infrastructure and private property. Besides, he directed the CEO to proactively check any illegal constructions in the city.
He asked all the stakeholders to contribute in restoring the traditional glory and cleanliness for which Poonch town has been known for. The CEO was asked to launch a cleanliness drive in the municipal limits to aware and encourage the people for maintaining cleanliness. The MLA said that the present dispensation in committed to ensure quality services to the people and efforts are afoot to develop infrastructure and improve amenities.
