Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti today said that the Government is working to provide a model hospital, to every Constituency in the State, which would be equipped with all the modern diagnostic and health care facilities.
She said that each such hospital would also be having the much needed gynecological facilities for the women.
The Chief Minister was intervening during Question Hour in the Legislative Council today.
Ms Mehbooba said “we have taken up two hospitals one at Dooru in Anantnag district and other at Basholi in Kathua district on the pilot basis and would soon be broaden the ambit of the scheme by providing every constituency with similar facilities.” She said that we would be approaching the corporate houses within and outside the State for taking up these under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), besides the legislators would also be requested to provide the necessary funds from their Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
“The step would go a long way in ensuring that the health infra gets the requisite augmentation in diagnostics as well as the health care services to be given to the people, besides reducing the load on district hospitals,” she added.
