To celebrate Children’s Day and spread awareness for abolition of child labour, a motorcycle rally was organized by the district administration in the town.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Angrez Singh Rana flagged off the rally from DC Office premises passing through different main locations of the city culminated at Dak Bangalow Udhampur..
While addressing the gathering, the ADC said that the aim of organizing such rally was to aware people about child labour and to support child rights. He stressed upon the people to spread the message of anti child labour in the society so that the child rights would be protected for their bright future.
The motorcyclists displayed placards on role of education in socio-economic progress of the poor, illegality of employing child labourers, stop child labour and role of parents to ensure education for the children.
Among others Assistant Labour Commissioner, Aamir Choudhary, District Information Officer, Dr. Ashwani Hansa, CEO, MCU, K.K Chalotra, Secretary Red Cross, Dr. V.K Sharma were also present on the occasion.
