Mufti justifies coalition with BJP, Praises Modi in his ID speech

Chief minister Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohd Sayeed has said that the current coalition Govt in the state is committed to fulfil its promise to bring about development in the state. Addressing a gathering at Bakhsi stadium Srinagar on the occasion of celebration Independence day, Mufti said the coalition Govt has started several projects which would benefit the common people. During his address he made a special mention of Energy, water supply schemes and horticulture” We are going to commission 450 MW hydro-electric power project in September this year, Sukhnag water supply scheme completed at a cost of 269 crore Rupees will be commissioned soon, Besides this, a water supply scheme on Chenab river for Jammu Division is in the plan which would cost about 880 crores” The Chief Minster said . He said that Govt is giving special u towards horticulture sector,”Besides introduction of market intervention scheme, insurance of the horticulture produce and up gradation of fruit mandis is in top priorities of the Govt, Mufti said. Taking a dig on his political rivals for opposing him to join hands with BJP to form the Govt in the state, Mufti praised Prime Minster Narinder Modi “ I congratulate Narinder Modi as his cabinet colleagues may it be Nitin Gadkari, Minister for railways or any other minister, they have been showing keen interest in bringing about development in the state because they have clear directions from The Prime minister” Mufti Mohd Sayeed said. “A perception was created as to why I joined hands with Narinder Modi, I say there nothing wrong in it” Mufti Mohd sayeed said. Mufti sought cooperation from the people to help the Govt to start a new era of development and prosperity in the state
