MVD organises motorbike rally at Samba

The Motor Vehicle Department today organised a Motor-Bike rally, to commemorate 27th Road Safety Week, from New Bus Stand Samba to 17 Miles Restaurant.

The rally was flagged off by SSP Samba Joginder Singh.

Nearly, 100 Bikers participated in the rally carrying placards with road safety slogans and messages.

The SSP appreciated the programme launched by MVD and assured full cooperation from the District Police in this regard.

While addressing the bikers, he strongly exhorted upon the youth to always drive with discipline and wear crash helmets.

ARTO, Er. Kuldeep Singh, spoke on different aspects of road safety and informed about the online services launched by MVD Samba regarding Registration of Vehicles and Learner’s/ Driving licenses and disclosed that MVD Samba is first district in the state which has started Sarathi version 4.0 which can be accessed throughwww.parivahan.gov.in. and now applicants can apply for learner’s license  online and learner’s license are also being dispatched online.

Youth from Samba, Beopar Mandal Vijaypur and 17 Miles restaurant actively participated in the event.

SDPO Vijaypur S.S Sambyal received the bike rally at Vijaypur while refreshments were provided by Beopar Mandal and 17 Miles restaurant where the rally concluded.

DySP Traffic J.S Sumbria, SHO Samba Sanjeev Chib, DTI traffic, MVI’s Madan Lal, Chander Mohan Sharma and staff of MVD Samba was present on the occasion.
