Minister of State for PWD (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma paid surprise visit to Tehsildar office Nagrota and took first hand appraisal from the public regarding the services provided by the Revenue Department.
Stressing on the effective implementation of Public Services Guarantee Act, Mr. Sharma directed the Tehsildar to ensure that people get services related to Revenue Department like issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs), Category Certificates, Backward Area Certificates, income certificates etc in a time bound manner.
During the visit, the Minister inspected various files and records in the office especially the files related to Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) and directed the Tehsildar to ensure that people don’t have to wait for long in the offices for redressal of their grievances.
The Minster while interacting with the locals on the occasion said that they should feel free to approach his office if their genuine cases are being delayed adding that providing corruption free administration and better services in a hassle free manner forms the top priority of the present government. He also said that there will be zero tolerance for corruption and urged the people to bring to his notice any official of the department found indulging in any such malpractice.
