A meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti was convened under the chairmanship of MLA, Kathua Rajiv Jasortia in District Hospital Kathua here today.
During the meeting Medical Superintendent Dr. Anoop Manhas (Member Secretary RKS) apprised the house about the action taken regarding the various issues discussed in previous meeting.
The directions were passed to the PWD to lift the old bridge material from the hospital premises whereas officers of JKPCC were directed to install glow sign boards of the hospital along the national Highway. Directions were also passed to the JKPCC to submit detail project report for extension of OPD registration counter including construction of entrance gate towards the city side and renovation of room for ophthalmic section and repair for Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts. Executive Engineer PDD was directed to install CTBT meter in the hospital.
The Samiti decided to install a high mast light on the entrance gate of the hospital towards canal side for which directions were passed to municipality to initiate the work.
MLA Kathua who is also the chairman of the committee gave approval for the repair, renovation of old emergency building before complete shifting of the emergency section. The Samiti also constituted a committee for execution of works and authorized Executive Engineer PWD and JKPCC to verify and monitor the work strictly in conformity with the rules of Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
The meeting approved the proposal for running of Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre in the Paediatric Department of Hospital.
MLA Kathua stressed upon the officers to work in unison for providing better health care services to the people.
Among others, the meeting was attended by CMO Kathua, Executive Engineer PHE, ADMO, CDPO Kathua, DIO Kathua and representatives of NGO.
