District Magistrate Baramulla Yasha Mudgal today said Section 144 of CrPC will be imposed around examination centres on Feb 21, 2016 in the district as Service Selection Board is conducting exams on that day from 11.00 am to 1.30 PM.
The DM said the decision was taken with a view to ensure smooth conduct of examinations and to curb the menace of copying.
The test centres notified by the SSRB in Baramulla include MET Sopore, St Joseph Higher Secondary, Institute Baramulla, Govt Degree Collage Baramulla and Sopore Baramulla Public School, Budding Bloom School Khuajabagh and Shah Memorial Welken Education Trust Sopore.
As per the section 144 CrPc assembly of five or more people and carrying any copy material, Cell-phone, tabs or electronic gadgets or weapon in or around the exam centres is prohibited. This order shall remain in force till the examination and type test conducted by the J&K SSRB completes in Baramulla district.
However, this order shall not apply to the security and police personal deployed for purpose of maintenance of law and Order during the examinations.
