District Police Ramban organised a district level Talent Hunt Programme in singing “Choona Hai Aasman” season 5 at District Police Line, Ramban.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban Randeep Kumar as a part of civic action programme. Additional SP Ramban Arun Kumar Gupta chaired the programme.
As many as 30 contestants from Ramban district competed in the singing competition in various languages in different age categories. The performances were adjudged by the SDM, Ramsu, Ravi Thakur, Prof.SA Ganai and SDPO, Gool, Mohammad Tufail Mir. Besides police and army officers, Major Nipun Sarohi , Dy SP, CRPF 84 Battalion, Veena Kumari, local prominent citizens, students and cops were present in large number on the occasion.
Farooq Ahmed Khan, Pradeep Singh and Sahara Samay District Correspondent, Mudassar Mir stood 1st,2nd and 3rd respectively in the Senior category. Azhar-ul-Haq, Imtiaz Ahmed Naik and Mohammad Shakeel stood first, second and third respectively in the junior category meanwhile Ritisha Manhas,Ritansha Manhas and Tabassum Iqbal stood first, second and third respectively in the female category.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and participants.
Later Ravi Thakur also enthralled the audience with his Gazals. DSP, Mr Choudhary concluded function with his ‘Vote of Thanks’ with his Poonchi couplets of Mian Mohammad Baksh.
