An encounter between militants and government forces resulted in the killing of three militants in south Kashmir’s Ashmuqam area of Anantnag district on Monday.
Forces cordoned off Tantraypora village in Ashmuqam near Siligam and started search operation.
Three militants tried to break the cordon and started firing on army and para-military troops.
Three militants have been killed in the encounter.
