The Traffic Police has made special arrangements for dissemination of information related to traffic situations in view of the winter season, particularly with regard to NHW and other important roads in the State.
Information regarding traffic restrictions, particularly on the NHW is given in advance on daily basis, on the Facebook page of the Traffic Police titled “Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police”. Besides, traffic updates on real time basis is also given on this Facebook page with regard to traffic situations on all the major roads in the State.
The Traffic Police has also started a Toll Free Number 1800-180-7091 on which information regarding the traffic restrictions can be sought. Information regarding any emergency situation on the road can also be given by the public on this Toll Free number seeking assistance from the Traffic Police. In addition, for any traffic related information people can also get updates from the Traffic Control Units at Srinagar (0194-2450022), Ramban (9419993745) and Jammu (0191-2459048).
The Traffic Police has also started a number 9622-88-2222, available round the clock, on which complaints, feedback and suggestions can be sent by SMS and Whatsapp messages/photographs/videos.
