In order to facilitate the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra visiting the State in their personal or commercial vehicles, Traffic Police Rural, Jammu has established a Yatra Reception Centre/Control Room at Lakhanpur.
After proper verification of the documents of these vehicles special stickers are being pasted on them so that they are not stopped anywhere for further document checking enroute yatra.
The vehicles with incomplete documents are challaned on the spot and clearance is given to them for their journey.
Besides this, two more Control Rooms have been setup at Daya Chack, Kathua and Mansar Morh, Samba for providing information about the route and terrain of Shri Amarnathji yatra. All the Control Rooms are working under the supervision of Dy. SP Traffic Samba-Kathua, who can be contacted on (+91) 9797570927.
