Two civilians were today killed in police firing in Kakapora Pulwama.Earlier one militant was killed in an encounter with security forces.After the encounter there was a clash between protesters and police which resulted in death of two civilians.
A youth and a woman died while seven other civilians were injured after being hit by bullets during clashes near an encounter site in Kakapora area of Pulwama on Sunday.Danish Farooq Mir, a resident of Ratnipura and Shaista Hameed, daughter of Abdul Hameed, a resident of Lelhar area of the district died after forces opened fire, locals alleged.They alleged that forces fired upon civilians in a residential area near Gousia School in Khar Mohallah area of Kakapora where an encounter between militants and forces was underway.An official said that a militant, identified as Adil Ahmad of Bandripora has died in the ongoing encounter.
