Two teachers were killed and eight others injured when a vehicle of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) met with an accident in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday evening.
A police official said that the staff members of DIET Pampore had gone on a picnic to Doodhpathri in Budgam district. He said that they were travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK01N 5926.
The official said that the staffers of DIET were returning back from Doodhpathri when their vehicle skidded off the road near Tangnaar in Budgam.Two persons namely Aliya Muzzafar, wife of Muzafar Ahmad, resident of Wanbal Rawalpora and Bashir Ahmad Mir, son of Khazir Muhammad resident of Sathpakran Khrew died on spot. Eight persons sustained injuries and they were immediately rushed to hospital. Police has registered a case.
