Kashmir valley is witnessing a shutdown today. The strike call has been given by so.e separatist groups and traders bodies aa a mark of protest against the high Court order banning sale of beef in the state. Keeping in view apprehensions of violent protests , restrictions have been imposed in sensitive areas. Extra police and CRPF personnel have been deployed in the areas falling under seven police stations of the city which include , Nowhatta, Khanyar, safakadal, Rainawari, Maharaj Gunj, Maisuma and Kralkhud. Meanwhile some separatist leaders have been put under house arrest.
