Eleven CRPF men were Thursday injured when militants lobbed a grenade at CRPF camp in Khanyar area of Srinagar.
CRPF spokesman, Bhavesh Choudhary said that 11 of its men were injured in the attack on the camp in Ikhwan hotel.
“Out of 11 persons, four were injured critically. But all the wounded are out of danger, and are under treatment at SMHS hospital,” the spokesman said.
However, the spokesman ruled out that it was a grenade attack, saying that “some object was thrown towards the camp at 7.30 pm which created an explosion.”
Meanwhile, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Thursday claimed responsibility for the grenade attack on CRPF camp in Khanyar here.
The attack comes two days ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Srinagar on November 7.
