In an endeavor to maintain the beauty and ecology of tourist destinations across the State, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department today kick started “cleanliness week” or “Safai Ka Hafta” that shall be observed from 15th to 21st September.
The main function in this regard was held at Gulmarg in presence of Secretary Tourism Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah.
CEO Gulmarg Development Authority, Nazir Ahmad Mir was also present on the occasion.
Similar programmes were organized at other tourist destinations under various tourism development authorities across the State. Various local stake holders related to the tourism sector participated in the initiative. The campaign aims to help maintain beauty and cleanliness at the tourist destinations of the State.
