The two day seminar on Dina Nath Nadim concludes

The two day seminar on Dina Nath Nadim concluded in Srinagar today.Organised by Sahitaya Akademy, New Delhi in collaboration with the Kashmir Cultural Academy, the seminar highlighted  different fascets of Nadims life and poetry, his trend setting role and  contribution to Kashmiri literature, particularly poetry of free verse , the NAZM. In todays concluding session, presided over by Mashal Sultanpuri,two papers were read. Dr. Afaq Aziz read a paper on the the style(HAYET) of Nadims poetry. Brij Nath Betab in his Paper dealt with Nadims Nazm and its impact on Kashmiri poetry. Authenticating through references from different sources Betab described Nadim as a trend setter in Kashmiri poetry whose style, subject  ,terminology  and poetic expressions  deeply impacted  Kashmiri Nazm .
Farooq Nazki, Rehman Rahi, Prof Gulshan Majeed, Ghulam Nabi  Khayal, and GR Hasrat Gaddha, participated.
Notes scholar and writer, Shantiveer kaul, the  son of Nadim was also present. Sahitaya academy was represented by Mr. Mushtaq sadaf.
A  tarahi  Mushaira was also held.
