Minister for Public Works, Floriculture and Gardens & Parks, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said that the power scenario in valley can improve if people use it judiciously.
The Minister said this during his visit to various areas including Gund Hassi Bhat, Laway Pora, Mujgund, Malroo of Batmaloo constituency. He was accompanied by MLA, Batmaloo, Mr. Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Director CAPD, Director Floriculture and Senior Engineer of PDD.
Judicious use of power by people would help in improving the power scenario in the state,” the Minister said. He called upon the PDD officials to increase the power supply in the constituency.
Asking to expedite the construction work of Shalteng-Palpora Bridge, the Minister assured Jammu Kashmir Project Construction Corporation officers of providing Rs 3 crores from next fiscal . He directed the officers to complete the work by July 2016 so that people can benefit from it.
The Minister was informed that the approach roads on either side of the bridge will be developed by R&B Department.
He also took stock of ongoing construction work on drain in Malroo, and asked the concerned officers to speed up the construction work. Mr. Bukhari also asked the Project BEACON officers to repair the road on HMT crossing.
Earlier, while visiting Government Higher Secondary School, Gund Hussi Bhat and Government Boys Secondary School Laway Pora, the Minister directed the concerned officers to submit a proposal for increasing the accommodation facility in the schools.
The Minister while visiting the Trauma hospital in the area was assured by the concerned that the hospital will be made operational by next year.
