CM condoles Ghulam-ud-Din Shah’s demise

Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti has condoled the demise of the former minister Ghulam-ud-Din Shah, who passed away here today. He was 85.

In her condolence message, the Chief Minister while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Ghulam-ud-Din Shah is the father-in-law of former Minister, Mohammad Dillawar Mir and grandfather of legislator, Yawar Dillawar Mir.

A veteran politician, Ghulam-ud-Din Shah was elected to Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from Baramulla Assembly segment in 1977 and was appointed a minister in the council of ministers headed by then Chief Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.

Legislator, Mohammad Khurshid Alam and former legislators, Mohammad Sartaj Madni, Sofi Abdul Gaffar, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat and Peerzada Mansoor Hussain and former Member Parliament, Dr Mehboob Beg have also condoled the demise of Ghulam-ud-Din Shah.
